Union Park Flats
Neighbor-Centered Housing in St. Louis Park
When Union Congregational Church decided to sell part of its land to Project for Pride in Living (PPL), it opened the door for a new affordable housing development to serve the local community. The result is a thoughtfully designed, 60-unit apartment building that supports PPL’s mission of creating stable housing and economic opportunity.
Watson-Forsberg provided preconstruction and general contracting services for the project, located adjacent to the active church campus in St. Louis Park. Close coordination was essential—not only to keep church operations running smoothly during construction, but also to address access concerns for neighboring homeowners. Our team maintained open lines of communication throughout the process, particularly during the alley reconstruction, which included a new stormwater retention system and improved access for surrounding residents.
With strong collaboration between PPL, trade partners, and the community, the project was completed on schedule and within budget, delivering energy-efficient, high-quality housing that blends seamlessly into the neighborhood.
