The awards to Watson-Forsberg projects for our restorative work displays the detailed attention we take to restore the original architecture to meet the desires of our clients.
Watson-Forsberg has a great appreciation for historic renovation and understands how imperative it is that the builder has knowledge of what historic renovation entails. The knowledge of this starts with the estimating phase of the project. There are different requirements and restrictions with historical work and it’s important that an accurate estimate is given with these in mind.
Once the work begins, there are often in depth conversations about particular parts of the restoration. An example of this is, a specific type of fabric that was used in a church needed to be cleaned because it was historic to the building and had never been cleaned. Rather than just taking the fabric to the dry cleaner, we brought in outside sources to determine how to best clean the fabric so that this piece of the church would remain historic. We do what it takes to preserve historic buildings and the features within.
