Simpson Housing & Shelter in Minneapolis, MN involved the demolition of an existing structure followed by the construction of new housing and shelter. This five-story, 124-bed development includes parking and a basement, 36 efficiency apartments with kitchens and bathrooms, and group rooms and bathrooms on the second floor. The 66,260 SF construction features a post-tension podium with wood-framed walls on top, a commercial kitchen, and geothermal wells, and is designed to meet B3 energy requirements.
