Watson-Forsberg History

Minnesota has a tradition of quality craftsmanship. Our community and climate extremes demand an innovative, value-minded, problem-solving contractor. To be successful in this market for over sixty years, a firm must have integrity, flexibility and ingenuity.

Watson-Forsberg had its origin as Watson Construction and since our beginnings in 1945 the basic principles behind the business have continued. We constantly strive for client’s satisfaction, which is evident in our percentage of repeat business. Quality is always our goal. The diversity of our project experience has made us experienced problem solvers. Watson-Forsberg is a full service general contractor with the following ideals:

  • To build lasting relationships through teamwork and a strong sense of purpose to getting it right the first time.
  • To structure a team relationship that maximizes the efficiency of the construction process and results in optimal quality of each project in relation to the owner’s budget.
  • Emphasizing quality workmanship, effective scheduling, realistic budgeting and experienced supervision.
  • To match qualified subcontractors with the project requirements.

As the firm enters its seventh decade, we are committed to innovations in construction. Watson-Forsberg has completed projects in each of these areas (many with the same owner/ developer and/or architectural firm).

Experience has allowed us to build lasting relationships with individuals interested in quality, value and accountability. We consistently work as a team member, always striving to meet your needs, in hope of establishing a relationship that will continue over many projects and endure throughout years to come.
