Multi Family Housing
"Mixed-Use" is precisely what it implies, typically a project combining housing with retail space. Watson-Forsberg's experience in this type of work speaks for itself. The East Village North & South project is an affordable rental property whose amenities enhance the neighborhood. The project not only received the 2001 CUE Award from the City for "Most Innovative Housing Project" but also the 2003 "Smart Growth Design Award for Mixed-Use Development" from 1000 Friends of Minnesota. Many Rivers - East, another success for all concerned, created the first new mixed-use project on East Franklin Avenue in the last 100 years.
The Phillips neighborhood, south of downtown Minneapolis, is under going a change. The Wellstone is a "mixed-income" building with 49 rentals apartments and 6,000 square feet of retail space. Rental units will range from market priced to small studios reserved for the formerly homeless. We are proud to build affordable housing and be part of a neighborhood revitalization.
With approximately 50% of our work consisting of multi-family housing, Watson-Forsberg has extensive experience with the complexities of these types of projects and provides valuable resources in planning and implementation. We constantly strive for clients' satisfaction, which is evident in our percentage of repeat business.
